When it comes to survival, you have to start by living healthy today. Once you are healthy enough to live today, it is time to start preparing for what comes tomorrow.
An increase in the amount of large scale emergencies per year has been rising every year since 2011. More and more weather emergencies and natural disasters each year. Growing possibility of these emergencies should motivate you to prepare for the worst.
The Wild West Survival Fitness Academy was created by ACE Certified Personal Trainer Bear Gallagher Cole. Bear specializes in Functional Fitness Training. This is exactly what you need to be prepared.
To be prepared for anything you need Well Rounded Fitness including strength, flexibility, endurance, body composition, and agility. We focus on a mix of proven fitness routines to prehab you against injury.
Diversify
One of the core premises involved in my Survival Philosophy is a diverse skill set. This carries over completely into Survival Fitness.
The Wild West Survival Fitness Academy is all about a well rounded and diverse physical fitness level that leaves you more prepared than ever for whatever comes your way.
We focus on 5 Elements of Survival Fitness. These Elements are Strength, Endurance & Stamina, Flexibility, Body Composition, and Agility. No one element is more important than the others. All of the exercises, activities, and routines you learn in Survival Fitness are carefully chosen to improve and maintain these 5 Elements.
The result is Well Rounded Fitness that leaves you confident and prepared for anything.
Crisis
Before we begin to mentally and physically prepare for a future crisis, we must realize that in much of the world we are already deep into a crisis this very moment. A Health Crisis!
Obesity isn’t the only contributing factor. We don’t move enough, we are being poisoned by our own foods, and environmental factors are only making it worse.
Survival Fitness is a program I have created with a combination of all my fitness skills and knowledge.
I had the honor of representing the United States as a soccer player over seas in many international tournaments, on multiple continents. During the same time period I also played at the Olympic Development level.
In the past I have run 5k, 10k, and Marathons. I have also power lifted, strength trained, and hiked miles upon miles down canyons and up mountains.
As your trainer and the creator of the Wild West Survival Fitness Academy I use scientific knowledge of exercise science I have gained as a ACE Certified Personal Trainer to help you live happier, and diversify your physical skills. I mix it with an old-school get shit done attitude, and belief that you have to test your limits to grow.

I will share as much knowledge as possible here on this site. Reading here will give you theory, exercise plans, adventures to try, and the gear to get it done.
The only problem is that this doesn’t allow me to customize a fitness plan just for you and your goals. If you know you are a victim of the Health Crisis I spoke about above and need to improve your fitness right now, I can help. Trust me, I won’t just be helping you with what I read in books. I myself have had to lose weight, gain muscle, work through injuries, and get fit to keep up with my kids and nieces and nephews. Fitness is rarely ever a straight line, I know what it is like to take a huge dip and climb your way back to the top.
